Announcing a New Sunday School Schedule and Curriculum Beginning September 8 After the 9:30 a.m. Service.

New Lessons taking us through the Bible together:
A team of education leaders at North Lake this summer agreed to purchase quarterly, age-graded curriculum for 4 year-olds through adults. This means that entire families will be looking at the same Bible story each week and have resources to continue conversations at home.

New Sunday School Hour after 9:30 a.m. worship!
After the Time for Children at the 9:30 a.m. service, kids age 4 through grade 1 willnow be dismissed to a new program called “Kid’s Own Worship” while Grades 2-5 will stay in big worship with their family. This is an intentional and important change. We want the older children to experience worship together with their entire church family! As they grow, they will learn worship songs, partake in prayer, receive communion and hear sermons from their pastor. This is a very common church model.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Be sure to check in your child before 9:30 a.m. worship as usual! They should have a sticker with a number and you should have the corresponding ticket. At 10:30 a.m., please accompany children to the opening room (TBA) for donut holes and lemonade. From 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. we will offer classes for children 4K/Kindergarten, Grades 1-2 and Grades 3-5, middle school and high school. The children in Kid’s Own Worship will remain in their room for snack and transition into Sunday School time, or they can be picked up if necessary.

PARENT CLASS:
A Faithweaver class for parents (infants through high school) will be held from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. We offer childcare for infants through age 3, so you should be child-free for the hour! We recognize that families are the front line of ministry and home is the first place to teach children about God! At North Lake, we want to encourage, equip and educate you to grow in your faith!
